12 Creative Ways to Stabilize Your Gourd

1. Create legs utilizing Magic Sculpt
2. Attach wooden dowels and wood pieces to create legs
3. Nest the gourd in a piece of driftwood or dried seaweed
4. Weave a basket or use one you bought as a base

Details: Virginia Gourd Festival Nov. 3 & 4, 2007 Saturday/8:30a-5:30p – Sunday/10a-5:30p Richards Fruit Market, Middletown, VA (Use I-81 Exit 307 in Stephens City) The Virginia chapter of the American Gourd Society is back for a sixth year of education and fun in its annual marketplace of gourd classes for crafters and gourd products for holiday shopping. Festival and class information online at www.americangourdsociety.org (click on state chapters, then click on Virginia) Directions to the Festival: From whatever point you start, get to Interstate 81: From points south, go to Stephens City, Exit 307. At traffic light turn left (heading west) and go straight for 4+ miles to a stop sign. Turn left and continue 1 mile to the Fruit Market. From points north, follow same directions except turn right at the exit’s traffic light.
